TRIFED CELEBRATES ITS SILVER JUBILEE

Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) celebrated the completion of 25 years of dedication, creativity and transformation on 6 August, 2012 Hall No.4, Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi.

The event was inaugurated by Shri V. Kishore Chandra Deo, Hon’ble Union Minister for Tribal Affairs & Panchayati Raj in the presence of Shri Mahadeo Singh Khandela, Hon’ble Minister of State for Tribal Affairs.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

To commemorate the Silver Jubilee celebrations TRIFED launched it’s debut quarterly house journal Aaina which was unveiled  by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Tribal Affairs & Panchayati Raj.

 

 

 

 

 

The event was followed by a guest lecture by Dr. Abhay Bang, eminent Gandhian & revolutionary pediatrician, whose phenomenal contribution in tackling the myriad endemic health problems amongst the tribals of Gadchiroli, Maharshtra is unparalleled.

 

 

 

 

 Several distinguished guests graced the celebration of 25 years of TRIFED with their presence.

     

The celebration was followed by a cultural gala of smiles, hope and togetherness in the evening on 6th August 2012 at NCUI Auditorium,3, Siri Institutional Area, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi.

The programme was graced by Shri Mahadeo Singh Khandela, Hon’ble Minister of State for Tribal Affairs as Chief Guest and Shri V. Namgyel, His Excellency, the Ambassador of Bhutan to India as the Guest of Honour.

 

 

Three outstanding performers of TRIFED were felicitated by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Tribal Affairs.

The programme was followed by fun time of bollywood melodies, laughs, entertainment and Silver Jubilee feast for the entire staff.

 

 
 

 

TRIBES INDIA FELICITATES THE PRIDE OF INDIA, MC MARY KOM, OLYMPIC 2012 BRONZE MEDALIST IN BOXING!

Shri V. Kishore Chandra Deo, Hon’ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs & Panchayati   Raj honored the first ever tribal woman Olympic bronze medalist in boxing at a public felicitation at Hotel “The Ashok” on 14th August 2012 in the presence of Shri Mahadeo Singh Khandela, Hon’ble Minister of State of Tribal Affairs, Smt. Vibha Puri Das, Secretary ,Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Shri Jiji Thomson, Managing Director, TRIFED, Shri  A.K Dubey, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

‘Magnificent Mary’ as called by the International Boxing Association and the only tribal woman boxer from Manipur received a cash award of  Rs 10 lakh from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs barely hours after touching down in the country from London in an early morning flight after her historic feat. 

 

 A traditional “Kom tribal dance” was presented by the Kom students in her honour.
